RV’ing is an excellent way to be immersed in the beauty of nature while carrying your home on the road with you. That said, I have learned that not all RV parks, resorts and campgrounds are the same. Some offer amenities that elevate the experience, making your stay more comfortable, convenient, and fun. In this blog post, I’ll be exploring 25 RV park amenities that I’ve found to be highly appreciated by campers, ranging from curbside trash pick-up to lazy rivers.

1.  Curbside Trash Pick-Up: Keeping Your Site Clean

For the most part, everyone loves curbside trash pick-up. You don’t have to walk to the dumpster and it keeps the campground clean. Many RV parks and campgrounds offer this amenity, making it easy for you to dispose of your garbage without having to walk to a central dumpster. Generally all you need to do is put your garbage out to the front our rear of your site and someone (usually in a golf cart) will come by and dispose of it for you. This not only keeps your campsite clean and tidy, but it also helps to keep the entire park looking its best. Curbside trash pick-up also helps to keep the environment safe for wildlife. Leaving trash and debris around your RV site can attract unwanted animals and insects, creating potential safety hazards for both humans and animals. By utilizing curbside trash pick-up, you can ensure that your garbage is properly disposed of and that the natural environment around you remains clean and safe for all.

2.  Landscaping: Enhancing the Beauty of Your RV Site

One of the best things about RV camping is being able to spend time in beautiful natural settings. Landscaped lawns can help to enhance the natural beauty of your RV site, making it a more pleasant place to spend time. Whether it’s a manicured lawn or a more rustic natural setting, a well-maintained lawn can make your RV site feel more inviting and relaxing.

3.  Church Service: Connecting with Your Faith

For devout individuals, practicing their religion is an essential aspect of their daily routine. But when you are traveling in an RV, finding a suitable place to worship can be difficult. It can be challenging to locate a church that is compatible with your faith, or that fits your schedule as a traveler. Thankfully, many RV parks and campgrounds across the country now offer church services on Sunday mornings, providing a convenient and comforting solution for those seeking to connect with their faith on the road. This rv park amenity can help travelers maintain their regular routine and deepen their spiritual connection, even while exploring new places. Attending a service at an RV park or campground can also create a sense of community and fellowship among travelers who share similar beliefs. Many RV parks even offer non-denominational services that cater to a broad range of religious affiliations. This inclusive approach helps to make worship accessible and welcoming to all, regardless of their background or beliefs. Some RV parks also offer bible study groups, prayer circles, and other spiritual activities. These opportunities can provide a chance to engage with like-minded individuals and reflect on the deeper meanings of life, travel, and faith. It can also be an excellent way to meet new people and make connections on the road.

4.  A Spotless RV Site

As an RV traveler, arriving at a clean and well-maintained site is essential for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Many campgrounds recognize the importance of providing a spotless space for their guests and offer a thorough cleaning of empty campsites to ensure that each new guest feels welcomed and valued. This attention to detail typically includes cleaning the fire pit and using a leaf blower to clear away all debris, ensuring that your site is free of any hazards or unsightly messes. Additionally, some RV parks go the extra mile and spray down the entire cement pad prior to the arrival of a new guest, ensuring that the site is not only clean but also sanitized.  These cleaning efforts not only create a more pleasant and inviting atmosphere for guests but also help to maintain the natural beauty of the surroundings. A well-maintained site can contribute to the overall appeal and aesthetic of the campground, making it a more desirable destination for travelers. Having a clean and safe environment can help to prevent accidents, injuries, and the attraction of unwanted wildlife or insects. This service can be especially beneficial for those who are new to RV camping, as it can help to ease any anxieties or uncertainties about their new surroundings. It also shows that the campground management values the satisfaction and well-being of their guests and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure a positive experience.

A dirty and unhygienic restroom can quickly ruin the entire camping experience and create discomfort or even health hazards for guests. And who needs more stress?
