Hello – and thanks for visiting our blog and wanting to know more about us!
Thanks for dropping in! We’re Jim and Tanja and we love to travel. In fact, we love it so much that we bought an RV and started hitting the road in 2016. We know, we know – you’re thinking “isn’t that a little old-fashioned?” But trust us, there are plenty of reasons why RVing is still one of the most popular ways to travel. We’re glad you are here and decided to check this about us page. For starters, you can take your home with you wherever you go. No more worrying about finding a place to stay or packing and unpacking your suitcase every day (that gets old). Plus, there are so many different types of RVs out there that there’s definitely one perfect for your needs.
Where have we been?
We’ve been to a few corners of the United States and have had a blast doing it. I’ve pasted a little map of the places we have been so far as of February 2023. The color in yellow are the states where we have spent at least one overnight, and in green means we have traversed through the state. Most of our stays have been in an RV, but not all. We plan on writing a post on most of our stops, so hopefully you will find some interesting content here on our site and learn more about us! RVing is a great way to see America (or whatever country you choose to explore). You can drive down scenic roads, stop at any time for a hike or a picnic lunch, and spend as much or as little time in each place as you like. It really is the best of all worlds.
Where are we going?
We have some big plans for 2023. So far this year, we went to Atlanta for a long weekend trip and I will be writing about that shortly – we had a blast! The second week of February our rig is scheduled to go in the shop to prep for a summer vacation to Alaska. I was thinking to myself this afternoon – why not chronicle the entire trip on one big blog post from planning to departure to the whole trip! Stay tuned! We’ll also be writing about our travels overseas to Europe and other destinations we get to them – we have quite a few places on our bucket list.
Our Family, Our Fun
We have two tweens that accompany us on our adventures. Not sure where our sense of adventure came from? We do – Jim spent over 10 years in the U.S. Army and met Tanja in Germany (Jim is originally from Western New York). When not blogging about the RV lifestyle and traveling, Jim is a human resources professional. Tanja runs the day to day family businesses which include a craft design studio, and a web development shop. We live in South Carolina which is a great place for outdoor activities, beaches, mountains, cooking out… you get the idea. We love spending time outdoors!

We love that you can park right at the entrance of some of the country’s most popular tourist destinations and spend a few days exploring everything they have to offer. Or, if you prefer to wander off the beaten path, there are endless opportunities for that too. The only limit is your imagination.
