As a family of avid fans of the Harry Potter books and movies, we were beyond excited to take a day trip down to Atlanta and experience the Harry Potter Exhibition firsthand. This trip was part of a weekend adventure and included the Stranger Things Experience. It was epic!

Cost and Getting to the Harry Potter Exhibition

The total cost of tickets for the event for four (4) people was moderate. At the time we attended, our receipt shows that for two adults the cost of the tickets was $78.00 each, and for two children, the tickets were $70.00 each. Additionally, there was an added facility fee of $24.00 and a tax of $14.05, bringing the grand total to $196.05. We purchased the audio guide, which was an additional cost $10.00. We did enjoy the guide; however, we thought it was a little pricey. The delivery fee for print at home tickets is free.  Attendees will receive a confirmation ID upon purchase, which will allow you to view, print or have your tickets scanned.

We just had our phone and the staff scanned our tickets at the door. We paid an additional $20 for parking. Once you get to downtown Atlanta, there are a lot of places to park. For whatever reason, I parked in a garage that was a little walk to the building housing the exhibition. That was not a big deal, though. Finding the entrance might be a little confusing, so make sure to take note of the following details. The exhibition is located at 200 Peachtree Building in Atlanta, GA 30303. You should know that the guest entrance is situated around the corner at 155 Carnegie Way NW. While the entrance may be a bit tricky to find, don’t let that stop you from experiencing this unforgettable exhibition that will take you on a journey through some of the most iconic moments, characters, and beasts from the Harry Potter™ film series.

As we made our way through the exhibition, we were struck by the thoughtfully curated exhibits and stunning displays that showcased authentic props and costumes from the iconic films. We’ve included a few of the many photos we took in this blog post so you can get an idea of what it was like. The wand room was one of our favorites and it was amazing to see so many of the screen-worn costumes up close. We also appreciated how the staff spaced out the crowds to ensure that everyone could enjoy the exhibits comfortably. We didn’t feel overly crowded or rushed, and we visited on a busy Saturday. Overall, it was a fantastic family day out that we’ll never forget.

How Long It Took

The experience was well worth the hour and a half that we spent exploring the exhibition. One of the things that we loved about the Harry Potter exhibition was the attention to detail that went into everything. The hands on displays made you spend a little more time in each room. As I mentioned, we didn’t feel rushed at all. You can take as much or as little time checking out all of the rooms and the interactive displays within them as you want. From the history of the items on display to the games you could play, there is something for every Harry Potter fan.

On Site Eats and Shopping

After exploring the magical world of the Harry Potter exhibition, take a moment to relax and unwind in the on-site café. Whether you’re in the mood for a hot cup of tea or coffee, a quick bite to eat, or a delicious dessert, the café has something for everyone. I did notice that there were a lot of sweet items to try. Croissants caught my eye. Additionally, you can have a signature drinkthat’s unique to the Harry Potter world. The café is only available at the Atlanta location, and the best part is that you don’t need a ticket to access it. Even if you decide not to visit the exhibition, you can still enjoy the delightful atmosphere of the café and browse through the exciting exhibition shop. Just make sure that you’re 21 years old or above if you want to consume alcohol. While the café offers a a good selection of food and drinks, please know that no food or beverage is allowed inside the exhibition itself.  We highly recommend a visit to the massive gift shop at the end of the exhibition, where you can find something for everyone in the family. Take home some Butter Beer!
